I'm a twenty-six-year-old living in Sydney, Australia.

I love having deep conversations with people and I sometimes ask too many questions.

Who do my friends & family say I am?

I'm not really good at describing myself (besides telling you about things that I enjoy) so I thought it'd be cool to get some of my friends and family to describe me for you all. Here's what they came up with:

What am I up to now?

So life has changed a bit since I last posted - I am a year older and I work full-time now in one of my dream workplaces. That takes up most of my time and I try to make time for God but it hasn't been easy. I get swept away by busyness and when I'm not being intentional, catchups and life admin fill the rest of my time.

I don't have as much time to be curious and wonder about God but I still want to seek him first and grow in my relationship with him. Sometimes I miss that season but I also appreciate the newness of this one. I enjoy engaging with people who have a different worldview from me and living out my faith in the workplace. I enjoy helping out family more and being able to bless people with the little money I do have.

Why is this blog called 'sheenawonders'?

I thought long and hard about what to call this blog and this is the name I finally settled on. You'll soon understand why.

According to Google, the word 'wonder' has multiple definitions:

As a noun, it refers to ‘a feeling of amazement, caused by something beautiful, remarkable or unfamiliar’. If you know me well, you will know that I react and say ‘wooow’ a lot. I admit that in comparison to the majority of the population, I am much more easily amused and astounded. But I hope that it is a quality that I never lose, especially when it comes to God. I want to always be in awe of God and His creation.
As a verb, it refers to the ‘desire to know something; feel curious’. It's how I described myself in the introduction above, it's how my friends described me so I guess there must be some truth in it. As I seek answers to questions and share my journey in how I reach those conclusions, I hope that it will be an encouragement to you. Many of my questions will be related to my experiences, my perceptions of the people and world around me but I hope that the answers will share God’s perspective and His thoughts with you.
The third reason for why I picked the word ‘wonder’ is more trivial. One of the albums I was obsessed with when I was coming up with this blog name was Shawn Mendes' Wonder. The title song is amazing and the rest of the album is too. Shawn Mendes is not sponsoring me for saying this but you can have a listen to his album below if you haven't already! :P
